Over the past three months, 34 Chilean science- and technology-based startups have participated in an intensive hybrid acceleration program designed to prepare them for global growth.<\/p>\n<p>Backed by <strong>Corfo<\/strong>, ChileMass Emprende is the <strong>only Chilean acceleration program with an operational base and team abroad<\/strong>, giving participants a unique competitive advantage when entering the U.S. innovation ecosystem. With offices in Santiago and Boston, and a binational network of mentors, investors, and corporate partners, the program connects Chilean talent to one of the most dynamic hubs in the world.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Inside the Digital Phase<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From April to July, participating startups worked closely with international mentors \u2014 seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation leaders from institutions like Harvard, MIT, Boston College and Cambridge Innovation Center.<\/p>\n<p>They refined their business models, perfected their pitches with guidance from storytelling coach <strong>Jennifer Phillips<\/strong> (formerly at Harvard Kennedy School), and explored strategies for scaling in international markets.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What\u2019s Next: The Finalist Announcement Event<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>On <strong>Friday, August 22<\/strong> (10:00\u201312:30 hrs) at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bancoestado.cl\/content\/bancoestado-public\/cl\/es\/home\/inicio---bancoestado-corporativo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Banco Estado, Santiago<\/strong><\/a>, ChileMass will announce the <strong>10 ChileMass Emprende 2025 finalists<\/strong> who will travel to Boston in late October.<\/p>\n<p>The event will bring together the 2025 cohort, other startups, Banco Estado\u2019s innovation team, ChileMass, and <a title=\"Corfo&#039;s Entrepreneurship Division (in Spanish)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.corfo.cl\/sites\/Satellite?c=C_LineaDeApoyo&amp;cid=1456407876758&amp;d=Touch&amp;pagename=CorfoPortalPublico%2FC_LineaDeApoyo%2FcorfoLineaDeApoyoInteriorWebLayout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Corfo\u2019s Entrepreneurship Division<\/a> in a morning of networking and celebration.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Boston Experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>In October, the <strong>10 ChileMass Emprende 2025 finalists<\/strong> will embark on a two-week immersion in Boston\u2019s innovation ecosystem. Their agenda will include:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Targeted mentorship<\/strong> from industry experts, investors, and corporate leaders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tailored meetings<\/strong> designed according to each startup\u2019s specific needs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participation in ChileNight<\/strong>, pitching at the <a href=\"https:\/\/venturecafecambridge.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venture Caf\u00e9<\/a> at Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC).<\/li>\n<li><strong>An intensive Bootcamp<\/strong> with McDonough Associates LLC, focused on market entry strategies and scaling.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Site visits<\/strong> to leading innovation hubs like <a href=\"https:\/\/greentownlabs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greentown Labs<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cambridge Innovation Center<\/a>, and top universities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>What\u2019s next in the program:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Selection of the 10 winning startups<\/li>\n<li>Official announcement on August 22 at a special event in Santiago<\/li>\n<li>Boston trip in late October, with two weeks of tailored meetings, ChileNight participation, and the McDonough Associates Bootcamp<\/li>\n<li>Participation at <a title=\"ETM Day (in Spanish)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.emprendetumente.org\/etmday\/etmday2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ETM Day<\/a> in Chile, in November.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Many alumni have turned these connections into game-changing opportunities \u2014 from securing international investment and scaling into the U.S., to landing major corporate clients and even achieving successful exits.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why This Matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Chile may be geographically distant from the world\u2019s major innovation hubs, but its entrepreneurs are proving that talent and creativity know no borders. <strong>ChileMass Emprende<\/strong> is about more than just international exposure \u2014 it\u2019s about giving Chilean startups the tools, networks, and credibility to thrive globally.<\/p>\n<p>ChileMass not only opens the doors to the U.S. market, but also helps startups achieve <strong>technological upgrades<\/strong> that are often a difficult challenge to overcome \u2014 especially for science- and technology-based ventures aiming to compete internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The journey doesn\u2019t end in Boston.
