{"id":2589,"date":"2025-12-01T15:08:29","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T19:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chilemass.org\/2024\/?p=2589"},"modified":"2025-12-01T15:08:29","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T19:08:29","slug":"chilemass-startups-selected-for-mit-sloan-pm-lab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chilemass.org\/2024\/entrepreneurship-startups\/chilemass-startups-selected-for-mit-sloan-pm-lab\/","title":{"rendered":"ChileMass Startups Selected for MIT Sloan PM Lab: Five Chilean Ventures Join the 2026 Cohort"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"lead\">We are proud to share that five ventures from our ecosystem \u2014 Ceibo, Dr. Frances, Speaking Trees, Smart Genetics, and Soquimat \u2014 are among the ChileMass startups selected for the <a href=\"https:\/\/mitsloan.mit.edu\/action-learning\/product-management-lab\/welcome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MIT Sloan PM Lab<\/a>, a recognition that highlights the strength and global potential of the talent we support.<\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div>This achievement reflects the quality, maturity, and global potential of the founders we support, and marks an important milestone for their continued growth.<\/div>\n<div>This selection reinforces the mission of ChileMass:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>to open doors,<\/li>\n<li>build global connections,<\/li>\n<li>and create experiences that meaningfully accelerate the trajectory of Chilean entrepreneurs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is the PM Lab?<\/h2>\n<div>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mitsloan.mit.edu\/action-learning\/product-management-lab\/welcome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Product Management Lab<\/a> is one of MIT Sloan\u2019s most applied and competitive courses. Over four intensive weeks in January, teams of 3 to 4 MBA students work full-time on developing strategic, product-oriented projects for each selected company, dedicating 30 to 40 hours per week and totaling more than 120 hours of work per student.<\/div>\n<div>The collaboration then continues in a part-time format throughout February and early March.For participating companies, this represents direct, high-quality, and cost-free access to top-tier talent, who contribute:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic product analysis<\/li>\n<li>Technology and innovation roadmaps<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity discovery and innovation evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Product development process design<\/li>\n<li>Go-to-market strategies<\/li>\n<li>Applied research with an MBA perspective<\/li>\n<li>Identification of hidden gaps and emerging opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>All of this takes place within a formal methodology that includes weekly meetings, data sharing, and structured follow-up.<\/div>\n<div>We are grateful for the coordination of Ivonne Patterson and Andr\u00e9s Cala, who supported this year\u2019s team selection process.<\/div>\n<h2>A Highly Competitive Process<\/h2>\n<div>Chilean projects were presented to students during <a href=\"https:\/\/mitsloan.mit.edu\/action-learning\/product-management-lab\/info-students\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MIT Sloan\u2019s Pitch Night on October 28<\/a>, competing alongside companies such as NASDAQ and Whoop.<\/div>\n<div>Students then ranked their top eight preferred projects, and the teaching team worked to ensure that each company was matched with a team for whom the project fell within their top three choices.<\/div>\n<div>This rigorous process ensures that only startups with strong, well-defined, and strategically compelling challenges \u2014 capable of attracting MIT talent \u2014 are selected.<\/div>\n<h2>ChileMass startups selected for the MIT Sloan PM Lab<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ceibo.tech\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.speakingtrees.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Speaking Trees<\/a> (ChileMass Emprende 2025)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/smartgenetics.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smart Genetics<\/a> (ChileMass Emprende 2025)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/soquimat.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soquimat<\/a> (ChileMass Emprende 2024)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"157\" data-end=\"288\">This is the second year in which Chilean startups pitch their projects at the PM Lab \u2014 and once again, they have been selected.<\/strong><br data-start=\"288\" data-end=\"291\" \/>Last year, the participating companies were <strong data-start=\"335\" data-end=\"368\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buhochile.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">B\u00faho<\/a>, Soquimat, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.subcargo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Subcargo<\/a><\/strong>.<br data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"372\" data-is-only-node=\"\" \/>This year, <strong data-start=\"383\" data-end=\"420\">Soquimat returned to apply again<\/strong>, a clear sign of the value the program brought to their product strategy.<\/p>\n<p>This continued success also shows that the startups identified and supported by ChileMass have become a trusted source of high-quality projects for MIT \u2014 a signal of confidence in our selection process and in the caliber of Chilean innovation.<\/p>\n<h2>Why This Selection Matters<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Because it demonstrates \u2014 once again \u2014 that chilean startups are ready to compete, collaborate, and grow at a global level.<\/li>\n<li>Because it confirms that ChileMass initiatives such as ChileMass Emprende and the ChileMass Hub generate real impact by connecting Chilean founders with world-class talent, meaningful learning opportunities, and networks that open new pathways for development.<\/li>\n<li>And because it strengthens the essence of our
