What is ChileMass?
Chile Massachusetts Alliance Inc. is a non-profit organization(501c3) incorporated in the United States whose mission is to build a bridge of technology and knowledge transfer between Chile and Massachusetts, to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life of people in both territories.
ChileMass emerged as a result of one of the main pillars of Chile’s foreign policy, which seeks to foster innovation in technology, energy, education, and economic development, to successfully insert the country into the Fourth Industrial Revolution. To date, the Chilean government has created three strategic plans with the States of California and Washington, and with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
ChileMass office is located in Kendall Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts, at the Cambridge Innovation Center.

Energy
We are actively identifying collaborative renewable energy projects from sustainable sources like wind, solar, and geothermal power with little or no pollution or global warming emissions.
Technology
We are excited to help develop –through collaboration- R&D that is not at mass market commercial adoption stage yet, in the areas of Robotics, Data Science, Machine Intelligence, and Digital Manufacturing.
Education
We are constantly looking for opportunities to amplify and enrich each geography’s educational ecosystem through creative and innovative collaborations.
Economic Development
We strongly believe in fostering innovation as a way to help our country grow and become a strong and developed country. One of the ways is promoting the best practices of the venture capital world to be shared from one geography to the other.
Our Services
Matchmaking
As a bridge between the two territories, one of our biggest tasks is to facilitate connections. Thanks to all our vast network both in Chile and Massachusetts, we help organizations connect to relevant actors. Depending on the client this might take form physically or electronically.
Innovation Tours
We connect, plan and fully organize innovation trips to Massachusetts and Chile, customized to our clients’ needs and interests. These visits allow their participants to familiarize with the industry’s ecosystem in the other part of the globe.
Events
We organize many events to raise awareness on the potential for collaboration between Chile and Massachusetts throughout the year. We invite you to our recurring events, ChileMass Ignite, at the CIC Cambridge, and to our most important event of the year, our annual conference, ChileMass Innovation Day, which will be held on April 3rd, 2020, in Harvard.
ChileMass Hub
ChileMass Hub is a center for creative transformation, a physical space located in a unique location in the world’s most innovative environment, Boston. ChileMass Hub’s members will have the time, the space, and the connections to work in their projects, and will receive the support of ChileMass’ team to develop them and make them thrive.
